"Marine Manager +rec" is a service that provides an introduction to the new smart-fishing (like smart-farming), and it follows the philosophy of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) to protect and preserve the bounty of the sea. For the new launch of the service, we were commissioned to create the logo and the brand guidelines. The design concept was drawn from their philosophy of creating a digital platform that can share the knowledge and intelligence of past generations and make the fishing industry sustainable for the future. The sprout stands for the rising next generation, placed in a circle to visualise the fishing community along the fish motif. The logo was made in a circle shape as the establishment of a circular economy is one of the aims of Marine Manager +rec. We chose blue as the main colour to reflect the sea, and yellow was used for the fish to suggest the bright future of the fishing industry. The Sans-serif typeface was chosen to bring a sense of modernism while keeping a solid and reliable impression.
