Essence

Anonymouz is a Japan-based singer and songwriter, and she is known for her English covers of J-pop songs which she posts on her YouTube channel. "Essence" is her 4th EP and we were commissioned to create the cover artwork as well as the teasers for each song. This is the first EP that included her iconic cover songs, so we wanted the design to be a reflection of her journey as an artist. With this in mind we hand-wrote the song titles to give the feeling of a diary entry. To highlight her well-translated English lyrics, we designed the teasers with the use of bold typography.
