We are MATSU, a design studio with a mission to empower businesses with bespoke visual solutions. Whether for branding, book design, content creation, hand lettering or music videos; our concept-driven approach remains always at the core while our final outcome grows from the seeds of your brief.
Images are a universal language that we feel fluent in. Using carefully tailored designs we can communicate complex matters in a simple way, express who you are, and appeal directly to people's emotions. We are a team of creative peas in a pod, absolutely driven by our passion to create beautiful and functional design.
We also believe in less is more. There are so many different ways to achieve your dreams, you don't need 100000x flyers to get a customer anymore. We value our planet and the resources we have, we try and minimise our carbon footprints, produce less waste and work with like-minded people.
From our studio in Amsterdam, we collaborate with clients from all around the world. Working closely with our clients allows us to find the meanings in their stories, discuss and explore new ideas, and offer a personalised experience.

MATSU is a Japanese pine tree, known for its strength and durability. Because the wood ages beautifully in colour and gloss, it was commonly used in traditional Japanese architecture such as temples and shrines.
We believe MATSU is a perfect symbol to reflect our studio, founded by two Japanese creatives focusing on helping our clients grow through valuable designs that are durable and strong.
